Falling to the ‘Fins: Miami Dolphins Select Laremy Tunsil (OT, Ole Miss)
The Miami Dolphins did not expect to have a fighting chance to select Laremy Tunsil in the 2016 NFL Draft. For several months, 31 teams did not expect to have a shot at the Ole Miss offensive tackle. Now, after a curious draft day saga, Tunsil has fallen right into the Dolphins’ lap.
Minutes before the draft began, video emerged of Laremy Tunsil smoking marijuana out of a gas mask on his Twitter account. This video was reportedly uploaded by someone who hacked into his account. Many believe that this video could have been taken as long ago as 2010, with Ian Rapoport stating on NFL Network that he has heard that the video could be as many as 5 years old.
The Miami Dolphins’ fanbase knew the team could be lucky, as rumors of Myles Jack’s injury saw him begin to slide out of the draft’s top 10. Those same fans have to be incredibly excited to know that the Miami Dolphins were able to select arguably the best player in the 2016 NFL Draft.
